Hero Go for Android is the perfect take on a game that is literally as old as gaming. It takes the Snake formula and flips it on its head by throwing an RPG over the top of it. As the story goes, three girls break into a new world where they find themselves training heroes in order to survive a perpetual battle.
You start off with one of the three girls, but as you go from level to level, you’ll unlock more heroes you can start off as. You’ll start with one, but as you play through levels, more heroes will join your cause, and your train of heroes will grow larger and larger. The larger your train, the less you can control it and the more susceptible you become to your heroes being attacked. It’s a double-edged sword because you’ll be able to obliterate anything and everything, but your units are also more vulnerable at the same time.
When you inevitably die, you’ll find that you can spend the coins you’ve collected on upgrades, and this is where the game really shines. You have the opportunity to upgrade every character you unlock, upgrade how many coins you pick up, upgrade the overall stats of everyone in your party, and a million other different things. The amount of things that can be upgraded is pretty insane.
Everything about Hero Go is just fun. Gameplay is engaging, upgrading seems never ending, and the amount of characters to unlock is just staggering. This is definitely a game you could spend a lot of time with.
