Home Security IP Cam - Alfred for Android is truly a cool and unique app. Turn any of your Android or iOS devices into a security camera that can be woken up and viewed from your cell phone, anywhere in the world. This one is friggin awesome!
Home Security IP Cam - Alfred displays in portrait or landscape and opens to pose a simple query to you: Set this device as viewer or Camera. So, as this statement intimates, you are required to install this app on all devices you'd like to control and use as a security cam, along with any devices you want to act as the viewer. So I downloaded this to 2 different Android tablets and an iPad Air. My Galaxy S6 cell phone was set as viewer, while the 3 tablets were set as cameras. The app will ask you to associate all devices with the same Google account, which is how they are all linked together. The whole process took me just a few minutes to download and install the app to all my devices and get everything setup; easy-peasy.
Once your gizmos are all operational, just open the app in the device you set as viewer, and you will see a list of all your available cameras. the app can wake any or all devices from sleep and activate either their front or rear facing camera, and deliver a live feed of the video to the device you set as the viewer; freakin' cool!!! And yes, it works incredibly well. Naturally, you will want to strategically place your security cam enabled devices at something worth looking at, otherwise you may be looking face down at the coffee table, or up at the ceiling, or at the inside cover of a case. However you decide to make use of this app, it's pretty damn cool if you ask me.
Home Security IP Cam - Alfred has a lot of interesting applications. This is definitely staying on my personal list of favorite apps. Totally awesome; you really should check this one out.
