Review Oneset - Smart Fitness Trainer

Jay Feldman
Interesting functionality, simple interface, minimalist design
Limited features, old fashioned design, internet connection required
OneSet for Android is essentially a Vine video sort of app, but for workouts and exercises. Film yourself working out and submit your video for all to see, or just browse user submissions and get inspired to workout yourself, instead of watching all these videos.
OneSet displays in portrait to reveal a vertically scrolling interface, populate with simple text and square workout videos. Just scroll through all the offerings to engage video playback automatically as each new video comes into view. These videos range in length from a few seconds, to a few minutes, and as the title suggests, represent one set of a person's entire workout. The idea here is to submit extreme and noteworthy workouts, and perhaps inspire others to get off their rear and try the same.
The videos play smoothly, with no buffering or lag times. You can share, comment and like a video right from the main interface, or, you can tap any video to bring up a details page, read comments, and follow each respective person, as well as view profiles. There's a text menu at the top of your screen with the headings, Home, Explore, Notifications and Profile. Naturally, you will need to sign up for an account to make the most out of this one.
OneSet is an interesting way to get inspired and learn new exercises. There's a lot of cool videos here, most of which featuring stuff you've never seen before. There's a good mix of indoor and outdoor activities, and this would be a hit with fitness enthusiasts and the modestly curious.
