Cringe worthy intergalactic RPG

Neat graphics, interesting plot
Terrible writing, boring play, goes nowhere fast
Rise of Orion for Android is an intergalactic, fantasy RPG quest that shows a lot more potential than it currently delivers upon. Expand and evolve your fleet to dominate planetary systems in this heady, text based game with nominal intrigue. This one is best relegated to RPG diehards.
Rise of Orion presents in landscape mode to reveal what looks to be a rather exciting intergalactic game of combat and conquest. Sure, some of those elements are here, but are so thinly veiled that you can easily miss them due to outright boredom. As the story goes, scientists have harnessed the power of hyperspace travel, and your mission, is to explore the uncharted spoils of interstellar travel. However, space can be a ruthless place and there's some pesky aliens looking to dominate the universe before you do, which to them, probably makes us look like the pesky aliens striving for interstellar dominance; as usual, it all comes down to perspective. And if all this sounds intriguing to you, get ready for a big letdown, cuz that's where the fun ends. The play is overly heady, plodding and goes nowhere real fast, which is the most action and excitement this game has to offer.
Maybe it's just me, but if you're going to present a heavy handed text based game, maybe you should take the time to proofread your spelling and grammar. Clearly this was written by someone whose native language isn't English, and they'd do good to hire someone to just look over the copious amounts of text and make it read properly at least. The occasional error is forgivable, I make plenty of them myself, however, what's going on here is just laughable and reduces the game to a cringe worthy, cheesy hot mess. The only saving grace here, is the game is only meant to be played for 5 minutes at a time, over a period of several months. And before you waste a quarter of your year on this useless game, let me assure you that there's better ways to bleed precious minutes off your Earthly existence.
Rise of Orion is a hot mess and likely only beloved by the nerdiest, most devout of RPG fanatics; to which I say, more power to ya.
