Review Five Nights at Freddy's 3

Jay Feldman
Decent graphics, unusual plot, simple controls
Very common, not interesting game play, low quality animation
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 for Android is the third installment in this popular game series. Try to survive 5 nights as a security guard at a possessed children's restaurant. This one is the best the series has to offer, and is both boring and genuinely terrifying at the same time.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is all grown up and already onto its 3rd installment. I actually hated the first one and thought it was terrible, which shows what I know, because the whole series has become a bit of a cult classic. As the story goes, again, you are a night watchman at a possessed kid's restaurant. This time, they have a brand new location, yet somehow, all the demented children's mascots have moved to this new location and are up to their old antics of trying to kill you. Like the first two, the whole game takes place in the security booth, and all you do is watch the security cams, open and close air ducts on a map, and reboot all systems from time to time. The game has some hidden Easter Eggs to find, which really add nothing to the play but add some much needed intrigue to a game that's so bored with itself, that it just presented the exact same game 3 times, all in an effort to siphon the most money possible out of your wallet.
The play is indeed frightening, largely because it borrows from that widely known internet prank, where you get someone to stare at their computer screen, looking closely for something to happen, then - BAM! - a graphic of a demented face appears, scaring the living daylights out of whomever was dumb enough to fall for the trick. So, spoiler alert, that's really all this game is about, and it used 3 pricey apps to deliver the same joke. And, ha-ha, the joke's on you, because you just bought 3 separate apps to watch the same dull joke, again, and again... and again.
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is sure to be a hit with fright fans, but the real question is, will you be gullible enough to pay for part 4? Here's hoping the developers make the slightest attempt at delivering a new game next time out. I guess I still hate this game.
