Neat graphics, interesting plot, decent game play
Very common, bores you really quickly, difficult to play without in-app purchases
Dragon Friends : Green Witch for Android is a sim based game that's all about building and evolving your own mythic kingdom where dragons abound. This one requires a big commitment of time, and yes, money if you want to keep things interesting, but the play is rather charming.
Dragon Friends : Green Witch displays in landscape to deliver a tried and true, build this, evolve that, pay for play, or practice patience and prudence sorta gaming environment. In this one, you are charged with building your own enchanted island. How do I know it's enchanted? Because there's copious friendly dragons to breed and hatch, and not a one of them will try to scorch you with their fiery breath and toast you into a crisp yummy morsel. Place structures, feed animals, move clouds to make it rain on your crops, this one's got a little bit of everything going on, and yes, you can build some truly elaborate villages and interact with online players from around the globe. The social element is actually quite daunting once you see how evolved some of these villages can get.
The controls use typical touches and slides to make selections and place structures, so nothing unusual going on there. The graphics look like kid friendly cartoon imagery, with lots of vibrant colors and wide eyed cute characters, just begging to be played with. The animation is simple, but does have some nice visual triggers and some cool dragons. The sounds were decent but you could just as easily mute them without missing anything vital.
Dragon Friends : Green Witch is fairly cookie cutter, and has its sights set squarely on your wallet. It's decent fun, just watch the upgrades.
