Neat graphics, online multiplayer, lots of levels, simple controls
UFB 2 - Ultimate Fighting Bros for Android is a fun arcade fighting game that has very simple controls and gameplay mechanics. Anybody can jump right into the game and play, but mastering it will take some time and dedication. Players can play against the AI in career mode, or fight it out online against other players in versus mode.
Unlike most fighting games, there is a lack of attack buttons in this game. Instead, you are presented with a small cage arena to fight in. The cage is displayed as a square and everything in the game will happen within this square. Each player will cling on to their own side of the square at the beginning, and they can launch towards the other side by holding down the jump button. Holding the button for longer will charge more powerful jumps.
The aim of this game is to position yourself well and then leap towards your opponent. If you leap into your opponent from above, you will knock him down and take a life point away. Players will have three life points each round, and you will need two round wins to beat the other player. The gameplay is incredibly simple, but it's still surprisingly enjoyable. Even though there is only one control button, there is still a considerable skill curve, and players can compete with one another to find out who's the better fighter in versus mode.
The in-game sound effects and graphics are pretty decent, and the over the top cartoon-style approach works really well for such a simple game. What's so special about this game though is it's simplicity. Keeping things as easy to play as possible make it very easy for anybody to play whenever they have any time spare.
UFB 2 - Ultimate Fighting Bros is free to play, but there are in-app purchases that can be used to purchase new fighters.
