Calm for Android is an application designed to help you learn how to relax. The app gives you details on how staying calm can bring health benefits to your life, and provides the user with a wide range of useful relaxation tools.
Perhaps the highlight feature of this app is the "7 Days of Calm" program. With this, you will be given 10 minute voice sessions every day for an entire week. These sessions will play a calm voice explaining to you how you can become more relaxed. The program is best designed for use at the same time each day, so there is a useful alarm system that will set the next session in the program to activate when the time comes.
On top of the main program, you'll also be given 10 different nature scenes and sounds that are designed to help you relax. There are 16 relaxing music tracks, developed by Kip Mazuy, a meditation master. If you feel like upgrading to the pro version, you'll be given access to 50 more guided meditations.
On top of the basic content provided with the app, new relaxation content is added each month, so you've always got extra tools to use to help you stay relaxed. Personally I think the idea of this app is very interesting, and from my experience so far it definitely provides you with the tools you need to help you slow down your mind and take the necessary steps to keep yourself calm and relaxed.
The great thing about Calm is that the majority of it's features are free. There aren't any invasive ads either, but if you do want to pay there are a variety of premium meditations, as explained above.
