Ted the Jumper for Android is a maze based puzzler where you hop from one object to another in such a way that you make sure you’ve stepped on all of them. As you go along, each object you step on disappears leaving just the trace of your route; helping you to plot out the finishing steps.
I think we’ve all played this kind of game before; at least in our heads, if not by actually hopping around on some kind of pattern we see. Kinda takes me back.
There are lots of levels, organised into themed worlds. The first world is based on jumping between pieces of wood floating on a lake. Other worlds include desert and forest and so on. The look and sound is all quite ambient and relaxing actually; a far cry from all the flashy attention-grabbing games that are out there. This would make a good game for a quiet, introverted person, who likes to play with their own thoughts.
The levels are pretty quick to complete, so you can always keep playing “just one more”. But they are still challenging enough to make you stop and think. You can only by 90 degrees when jumping, you can’t jump backwards, so you have to think about that carefully to not get trapped in a dead end.
The well-rendered 3D graphics might even be a tad overkill for such a simple game. This one’s plenty of fun, and gives your brain a workout too.

Ted the Jumper for Android takes a unique jump into the puzzle genre by offering a fun game mechanic that gets you thinking every step of the way. In this game you must look for methods to cross a lake by jumping across logs floating in the water.
You are only allowed to touch each log once in this game. Once touched, a log will disappear. To complete each level you must jump onto each and every log in the game. You can only jump left, right up or down. Your player can jump an infinite distance in any direction, but he will jump onto the closest log to him when making a jump. Because of this, and the lack of diagonal jumps, it takes a lot of thinking ahead to ensure you reach each log.
There are a few different game modes in this game. There is adventure mode that spans out across different stages, training mode that features randomly generated maps for you to test your skills on, and championship mode that challenges you to complete five consecutive puzzles as quickly as possible.
It is certainly clear that there is a lot of replayability with this game, and that's after you complete the dozens of levels within the adventure mode. There's no doubt that you'll get at least a few hours worth of fun out of this one.
Ted the Jumper is free to play, but you can use in-app purchases to unlock hints that can guide you through different levels. These hints can also be unlocked in the game without spending money, although the amount you can collect is limited.
