Funny sounds, neat graphics, record chart, responsive controls
Boomerang Chang for Android is an 8-bit retro style action arcade game that relies on player reflexes and timing. The game concept and mechanics are incredibly simple, but there is certainly a good amount of fun to be had in this game.
In this game, players must tap on the right side of the screen to fire boomerangs, and tap the left side of the screen to jump. The character the player controls will be standing on a pillar in the center of the screen, and the boomerangs are meant to be used for hitting the enemies that fly in from both sides of the screen.
When a boomerang hits an enemy, the boomerang will disappear along with the enemy, and the player will be awarded one point. When a boomerang misses, it will spin back towards the player, and he or she must attempt to jump or duck underneath the boomerang. If the boomerang hits the player, the game will end.
Because there is no limit to the amount of boomerangs that can be fired at once, experienced players can try to fire multiple projectiles in an attempt to hit all of the incoming enemies. In some cases, lots of boomerangs will be needed to deal with the onslaught of enemies, but dodging the projectiles becomes a difficult challenge. The 8-bit style graphics in this game are accompanied with similar 8-bit sound effects and music. If you're a fan of simple retro themed arcade games, you'll definitely enjoy playing through this one. Unfortunately, the novelty of the game wears off a little bit after you've managed to master the boomerang mechanics.
Boomerang Chang is free to play, and there are absolutely no in-app purchases in this game. There are some pop-up ads occasionally, and banner ads will appear on the top of the screen.
