Towelfight 2 for Android is a fun dual stick shooter that comes with an interesting story line and a great level system. There are also some interesting mechanics that go on in the weapon equip screen, which are unique to this game series.
This game starts by placing the player in a small level. Straight away, the player can get to grips with the controls whilst a small in-game scripted scene plays out. Eventually, your player will be transported to a strange world by an alien being that is pleading for your help. The land you have been teleported to is filled with evil creatures, and as you can imagine, it becomes your job to clean them all up.
As this game is a dual-stick shooter, there is a stick on the left side for moving, and a directional stick on the right for aiming. The aiming in this game can only be done in four different directions, and as a result, the aim stick can only be moved in these four directions, which is surprisingly difficult to get the hang of.
Each level in this game is laid out across multiple different tiles. Each tile takes up the entire screen, and is usually filled with different enemies, destructible scenery and items or chests that can be picked up. Occasionally you will pick up new ammo types that can be added to your ammo belt. Your ammo belt consists of a number of ammo slots, and as you fire, it will cycle automatically through the slots with every shot you make. The ammo belt allows you to equip a set of different ammo types in certain orders to create interesting ammo combinations.
Towelfight 2 is free, but to make the most out of the game, you will need to purchase the $2.99 full pass. Purchasing the full pass will unlock more in-game content, and remove restrictions on certain features.
