Review Ask.fm - Social Q&A Network

Clean UI, everything is simple to use
The concept makes communicating require more effort, borrows other social networks' framework and foundation rather than building its own
Ask.FM for Android is a social media app completely dedicated to communicating with friends through the use of just questions. Inviting friends over Twitter or Facebook, you can then begin communicating in an archaic form of call and reply. That is to say, there is no fluid conversation to be had from this app, simply answering questions.
I don’t understand the app’s theme, to be quite honest. There is no built-in friend list or account to really be made. That means you can’t invite a friend through email, or ask them to make an account and friend request you. If you don’t have Twitter or Facebook, you’re basically out of luck using this app since that’s the only way you can currently invite friends.
Once friends have been invited, they get moved over into your friend’s list where you can begin bombarding them with questions. This is the part that ultimately leaves me scratching my head, though. If you’re already friends on Twitter or Facebook, and you’re not out meeting new people, why would you use an app where you can only communicate with a picture reply or a simple text reply to a question?
There is no back and forth line of communication, it’s simply responding to a question. If you’re already friends with someone, why bother using a completely new app for that when you can text them, Snapchat with them, message them on Facebook, or communicate through Twitter. I mean, you already need to have Facebook or Twitter anyway, why add an extra step?
Ask.FM is a social media app that really has no useful social features. It doesn’t introduce a convenient way to communicate, and it doesn’t even use its own framework or foundation to build on. Instead, it borrows from Facebook and Twitter to provide you with a less convenient method of question and answer.
