Review Spin

Brandon Girod
Great soundtrack, good performance, stunning visuals
No significant shortcomings
Spin for Android is an addictive game, all based on your reaction speed. Great visuals and an awesome soundtrack combine to bring you a really fun experience to your Android device.
Everything about this game is simple. Everything except how insanely difficult the game gets. The object of the game is to keep your ball rotating around a circle without being hit by any of the pillars that “attack” the circle. The ball will revolve around the circle in one direction, but if you tap the screen then it reverts. There are four “pillars” that surround the circle, and at first you’re just dodging those sides of the circle.
However, once you get further and further into the game, the pillars start circling you, and the game suddenly becomes much more difficult and a lot less forgiving.
As the game progresses, the sounds and visuals change as well. I thought this brought an awesome effect to the game that really livened up the whole experience. There aren’t any other game modes, so having something that freshens things up definitely helps keep you entertained in the long run.
Spin offers a lot of open-ended gameplay that is actually worth spending time with. Sure, there isn’t anything to unlock or upgrade, but it offers a really great experience even outside of the outstanding gameplay. The music really fits the style of the game, and the visuals are really out of this world. If you’re looking for a game you can play for hours on end and pick up anywhere, then this is it.
