AZ Screen Recorder for Android is an easy to use screen recording app that can be set up ready for use in seconds. Unlike other screen recording apps, this one does not require root access, making it a great alternative for those that can't root their device.
When you first start up the app, a small toolbar will appear in the center of the screen. The toolbar has four different options that can be tapped. These include a record button, a settings button, a file manager for your saved recordings, and an exit button, from left to right. Unfortunately the app doesn't explain each button to you, but it's fairly easy to get used to what button does what.
When you start recording for the first time, a few prompts will explain how the recording feature works, after which point the recording will start. You will always be able to access the recording panel in your notification bar. On the recording panel you can stop, pause, and start new recordings; as well as read information about your current recording.
Whilst the default settings work perfectly, you can go into the settings menu to change a variety of different options, including the resolution of the recording and the maximum length of each video. For the most part, most modern smartphones and tablets will be able to run the screen recorder without lag, but older devices may struggle to record without lagging; especially when the resolution is increased.
AZ Screen Recorder is completely free to use, and there are no features hidden behind a pay wall.
