Good amount of themes
Nothing very useful or complicated
UR Launcher for Android is an alternative launcher solution that focuses on lively themes, custom icon packs, and live backgrounds. So for those familiar with launchers, this doesn't sound like anything too special. UR Launcher mainly wants to make customization easier and contained in bulk processes. It’s perfect for people who want something a little extra, but without too much of a hassle. All you do is load up the background section and you can start choosing from downloadable themes.
I tried out the space theme, and it’s pretty neat. When you switch from screen to screen, the live background switches and zooms from planet to planet. Even the little icon packs at the bottom of the screen are turned into space-themed icons, with little moon decorations and space vibes. The only thing is that it doesn't always work that great is if you switch out of the UR Launcher back to another launcher. For those trying out the app, you might want to be a little careful with switching launchers a lot. I can’t imagine this happening that much like it did for me, but it did require me going back to the download location and reapplying the theme to get it back the way it was. Unfortunately, the cool icons only apply to default icons within the phone’s interface. So hangouts can’t look like the cool moon messaging app, only the default Samsung messaging app.
When you aren't playing with the different themes available, you might find useful the tab that you can pull up on the right, from any screen. This tab gives you easy access to settings, and recently used apps; although this can also be achieved just by doing basic multi-tasking on your phone.
UR Launcher is an app that focuses on cool themes and can make your phone look a little more playful or cool in a silly sort of way. I totally “spaced” out my phone. While it looked fun, it didn't incorporate a whole set of moon icons like I would have liked (this would be very hard anyways) and it didn't provide much more usefulness in terms of its different interface and quick access settings.
