Review Murum

Brandon Girod
Has over 150 wallpapers
A good bit of the wallpapers are rehashed versions of a few dozen designs
Murum for Android is a collection minimal wallpaper that aims to complete the look if any theme or set up you can throw at it. There are over 150 wallpapers in the app, and they can easily be sorted by the various categories offered.
If there is one thing I’m picky about when it comes to my phone, it’s the kind of wallpaper I’ve got on it. I’ll often look through hundreds of them just to find one that I think will bring my homescreen together. I personally really enjoy the minimalist approach, so for me the app makes picking a wallpaper really easy.
All of the wallpapers are saved in the cloud, so you don’t have to worry about your phone downloading them in the background while you browse through them. The wallpapers loaded quickly, too, so I didn’t have to wait a long time to scroll - stop - scroll - stop, etc.
Applying the wallpapers is really easy. You can download them or just apply them outright. Cropping is easy, too. You don’t have to worry about the wallpaper being too big or too small. Every wallpaper I tried was already cropped for full screen effect.
All that said, a lot of the wallpapers are still just plain ugly. There are probably a few dozen unique designs that are then reused with a different color scheme. I’m not against this by any means, but don’t expect 150 unique wallpapers.
Murum is a great collection of wallpapers. There are plenty to take a look through, and if you enjoy minimalist themes then there is definitely a wallpaper here for you.
