Some extra features are nice
Doesn't do enough different to really warrant a download
Blue mail for Android is another email application that aims to be different by looking a little different, and, well, I guess being blue?
Blue Mail has polish. That is one thing going for it. Like other popular email applications it’s extremely easy to get going and has a walk through email interface. You slide through a few pictures and you get the hang of the application. Not that email applications are that hard to understand anyway.
The icon on the screen looks good, and for the most part the application looks good as well. The menu tab looks clear and the blue theme of the application manages to look clean and smart. When you receive new mail, you can tell by looking at the icon because there is a small red number on the corner of it.
Mostly what this application aims to accomplish is to improve functionality through design choices. Whats wrong? Well, you can’t easily tell what emails have been read or not. In an application like Gmail, it’s very easy to tell. However, this application does have a feature which enables you to sort the inbox. This is why in the section with all messages, it's not as clear. I don't know why they couldn't have done both for those who prefer to see all emails together.
Blue Mail is another email client that looks slightly different and performs similar. I’d rather stick to tried and true clients, but the decision is up to you if you love the feel and small extra features.
