Play as a wide array of characters, addictive gameplay
Take control of Sonic, Nine-Tails, Knuckles or many other famous characters in this fast paced platformer. Every character has his own special attribute, for example Tails has the ability to spin his tails in order to slow his decent. Sonic Jump Fever is all about going up and going fast.
The game is very fast paced, befitting a game set in Sonic’s own universe. You have a limited time to jump from platform to platform, getting as high as possible. As you jump your way towards the sky you collect various power-ups that allow you to defeat enemies, go faster, or envelop your character in a shield for a short time and much more. Once the round has started everything is controlled by your device’s gyroscope. Simply tilt the device left or right to guide your character across the terrain, landing from platform to platform. Make sure you avoid landing on the bad guys though, as I found out the hard way that you need a power-up to defeat them. If you miss your landing or get hit by bad guys, your character will quickly respawn, from the same height, shot out of a cannon and ready to continue his adventure.
The graphics are fairly decent. The game is designed in a cartoonish style with bright and vibrant colors, it offers even a bit of eye candy, in the form of beautiful backgrounds.
Sonic is an iconic character that almost anyone will recognize, having appeared in video games and cartoons. Sonic Jump Fever for Android is a fine tribute to that lovable hedgehog and his friends. The game offers plenty of addictive fun. There is a bit of a learning curve, as the controls take some getting used to, but once you do, you go straight up (both in the game and on the leaderboard).
