Build your kingdom from the ground up

Decent gameplay, nice plot
Graphics could have been better, difficult to play without in-app purchases
Throne Wars for Android brings the experience of managing your own medieval kingdom directly to your device. Take on the role of a young lord who just received his first plot of land. From there you can expand to your fledgling settlement into a shining kingdom that no enemy dares to cross.
The beauty of the game consists mainly of its simplicity. There are no fancy graphics or exciting combat that could distract the user from the main gameplay, managing his kingdom. While the initial plot of land is suitable for a start, the player will soon find the need to expand his domain by claiming new settlements. This fact brings him into conflict with other players and their own kingdoms, which in turn guides the player toward forging alliances with other kingdoms,
Overall Throne Wars has a quaint beauty about it. The game has plenty of depth to it, but manages to keep things simple. Like most tycoon games suffers from the same issues. It relies heavily on in-app purchases, forcing the user to buy currency in order to apply instant finishers, in order to bypass the very long waiting times for just about any action.
This presents the user with two choices. Be a patient ruler, gathering resources, investing them wisely and patiently wait for your builders and researchers to complete their work. Or invest in the game in order to speed up constructions and purchase materials with hard currency in order to bypass the actual production. If you think about it, this adds a bit of realism to the game. Whatever of those you choose, if you like simplicity and managing your own kingdom, then this may be the game for you.
