Completely free, modern graphics, simple controls
Explore a strange world filled with puzzles and mystery in XON Episode 1. The Unity engine really makes the game's graphics shine and makes it one of the most graphically impressive games available on the Android platform. The environment design is simplistic and the effects are a little lacking in detail, but that does not ruin the beauty. Do not worry, no hints about the puzzles will be provided, so the fun of discovery shall remain intact.
Once a new game is started the player is dropped into a world filled with strange architecture. With no indication on what to do next the player sets out and begins solving puzzles, delving deeper into the world. The puzzles are not all that hard and once you figure out a few it will become quite obvious what you have to do and where you need to go.
When it comes down to it, XON Episode 1 for Android is a great little puzzle solving game that is showing off an engine that offers nice graphics.
The game does feel like it missed an opportunity to create an awesome story and it would be nice if the game had a nice soundtrack to hear while running around and flipping switches, but the eerie silence has its own allure. Without spoiling too much, i can say that i am hoping the next episode brings some explanations about the giant pyramid.
