Turn by turn RPG action, shot down by glitches and hangs

Neat graphics, exciting plot
Needs to be elaborated, crashes, glitches, is lagging, kills your battery, inconvenient to play on a small screen, bad controls
Slingshot Braves for Android has a lot of potential. The play was engaging and the graphics were decent, however, the app itself is bogged down by serious hangs and glitches.
Slingshot Braves is another installment in the quest, RPG style of game play. You are a warrior who does battle against dragons and weird enemies. The play is turn by turn style and the action is quite good. A lot of games like this keep you on the sidelines, watching the action unfold without actually participating much. But this one keeps you engaged and involved.
The graphics were actually very good. The dragons look appropriately fierce and actually do breathe fire. The pinch zoom controls were ok, but very glitchy. I could not adjust the view to see the entire dragon when it was my turn to fight and could only get a full view when it was his turn to attack and the app went into auto pilot.
The tragic flaw of this game is the constant glitches and hangs. I rebooted my tablet many times only to have it get stuck on the exact same upgrade menu within the game. I’m not sure what it is with these menus, but they are clearly the Achilles heel of many a game like this. I gave this game more than a fair chance, and sadly, it is simply unplayable.
Slingshot Braves has a lot of potential, but is utterly hamstrung in its current form. Far too many glitches and some serious battery drain make this game a total bust. I look forward to future versions that are actually playable. There’s a lot of potential here, but the constant hangs assure none of that potential is realized, let alone enjoyable.
