Review Stickman Impossible Run

7.0Good
Decent animation, simple controls, ads can be disabled
Bores you really quickly, features ads
At first glance Stickman Impossible Run does not seem that impossible. Think again. The premise of the game is simple. You run and jump from start to get as far as you can. There are several difficulty levels that you can play, ranging from wimp to impossible and several challenge modes.
The controls are as simple as they can be. Your stickman runs constantly at a fairly high speed, while wearing awesome glasses, you tap the screen to jump. The longer you hold your finger down, the longer and higher the jump. Sounds easy, right? Well... the challenge does not stand in the run itself but rather in the stage transition. After you’ve cleared a set number of platforms, either by landing on them and jumping off, or by simply jumping over, you will suddenly transition to a different “stage”. You will jump, hell bent on landing on that platform you see coming, only to notice that it has suddenly vanished and a new one has appeared in its place in a different spot, causing you to miss your landing and fall to your death.
The graphics are minimalistic, but that does not mean they’re bad. They actually fit in great with a game in which the main character is a stick figure, albeit a nicely animated stick figure. The music, while nothing epic, fits in really well with the gameplay and gives you a kind of hyped techno sensation. You don’t know why that stickman is running, or where he’s running to, but you feel the need to get there as fast as you can. The only things that ruin the immersion are the ads. The game is spammed with ads. The only silver lining is that you can choose to either buy the game, which will remove ads permanently or to watch 3 videos, which will remove ads for 4 hours.
It’s an addictive little time killer. It’s challenging, well animated with a theme song that, despite the fact that i have listened to it for a really long time, it still manages to keep me wanting to hear it. There are other platform runners out there however it does manage to keep things simple and entertaining. The only downside is that if you forget to turn off the ads, they get really annoying, really fast.
