Functions quickly, stylish design
Full version is paid
News-reading coupled with Twitter in a single application; that is what defines Flyne in a single sentence. As soon as you launch the app, you will be invited to choose from the most popular topics available and then log in to Twitter (paid) and Feedly to get your feeds and tweets in a single hub.
You can choose from topics that interest you - there’s science and technology, health, travel and more, and devour the hottest news in a clean, mobile-friendly interface. You’ll also get to choose from the Night and Day theme, which are designed specifically to make your reading experience comfortable.
A major downside to this cool app is the fact that you cannot add news feeds from separate channels, thus limiting the amount of information you can get to a handful of proprietary channels available. However, if you do have a Feedly account, connecting to Feedly and getting your favorite channels holed in might be the workaround.
Reading through the news was a pleasant task and there were no glitches whatsoever - from sharing the news to starring it for getting back at it later, everything worked like a well-oiled machine. Although the absence of pinch-to-zoom is something to be noted, you’ll find an option to change the text size in the settings menu, which will do just fine.
Flyne is an application that has a couple of drawbacks, and then some good features to make up for it. If you do have a Feedly account, then the pleasant reading experience makes it a worthy download for you.
