Snapchat is an instant photo and video messaging application for Android devices that’s a real fun. Like any other online chatting application, it also uses your phone number to automatically synchronize your contacts. However, there’s one thing different about this app that makes it stand out.

Instead of simple text messages and file transfer, Snapchat lets you take a quick photo or film a short video and send it to a person or group of people from your contact list. And that’s not all. The file will disappear a few seconds after someone receives and sees the picture or watches video clip and the only way to save it will be to make a screenshot.

The program will be a real fun if you want to send fancy photos and videos to your friends, gfs/bfs, and family. You will be able to choose for how long the photo should be visible (up to ten seconds) and edit those photos by applying stickers and blurring certain parts of them.

Monster Shake is an awesome application for Android that lets you chat with your friends by sending photos and short videos and have fun. The application is distributed completely for free and has no significant drawbacks.

If it's a server issue then it's usually something the company will need to take care of. Is your Snapchat working correctly now?

Tap and hold on your face when you're trying to take the photo. The options should become available at the bottom of the screen.

When you take a picture. It stretches. For example you will capture a circle subject but when you click the shoot button it will stretch and turns out to be an oblong subject

There is a button at the top of the screen after you take a photo that will bring down a list of effects you can use on your photos.

Snapchat doesn't have filters. Are you talking about the effects? There is a button at the top of the app you can use on your photos after you snap them.

Snapchat isn't great on Android but you might want to try clearing your data and cache and maybe even reinstalling if problems persist.

You'll have to find a place that hosts safe apk files so you can download it from there. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get updates.

It looks like this is something happening to a lot of Android phones. Email Snapchat directly and let them know there is a problem.

if you have a front facing camera, you should be able to take selfies with it.... as for the lenses and stuff, I don't know about requirements, but you have to swipe back and forth on the camera screen in snapchat to get effects and stuff...

It would be nice if snapchat made a downloadable apk file instead of forcing everyone to use Google Play. I'm so sick of Google's draconian reach as I know many others are too. It's a point of view. And given their focus on anonymity, you'd think they might offer it elsewhere, or through their own website. I guess it makes security and updates and suchlike a bit easier. It's not in our control though. However, you can find an apk if you just search the internet for one (I almost said Google!)

it's likely you have changed this in the settings of snapchat. When you open snapchat, swipe left, then tap on the settings (gear symbol). There's an option for filters. Either turn this off, or leave it on, then when creating a snap draft, swipe left and right to change the filter.

I have an android wildfire S and have had snapchat on it since I got the phone about 2 years ago, then about 2 weeks ago, it suddenly wouldn't let me sign in and said that I needed to upgrade.

I have the Alcatel one touch fierce 2 and when I try using the back camera on Snapchat with flash it doesn't take the picture and the light from the flash stays on. I have to exit the app for the light to go off. It does the same thing every time I try it. If Google Play indicates that your device is incompatible then there is not much you can do about it. Even if you had the app previously installed, it is quite possible that a new version may have made it incompatible with your device.

I am unsure what is causing the issue. I have tried this on my own devices and it works fine. My advice is uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.

Hello,
I believe this issue should be easily resolved. Simply go into the app manager on your device. Tap on the Google Play Store app in the app manager and select the Clear Data Option. Hopefully this will resolve your issue.

This would be better directed at the comments on the facebook app but here goes:
Firstly please always mention your device model and OS version when requesting assistance.
Assuming you have a compatible device here's how to download:
Go to app4smart.com/en/688-face... and click the "Free Version" link found there. It will direct you to Google Play where you will need to log in with the same Google account on both your PC and your Android device before clicking the "Install" button. A new pop-up window will appear allowing you to select your Android device and will indicate any incompatibilities.
Alternatively you can scan or input the QR code found on the page from the link that I provided, into your Android device and it will direct it to the download page.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

I've just picked up the Samsung GT i9070 and the front camera wont work on snapchat. Actually snapchat in general makes the entire phone crash. I've factory reset and re-downloaded the app etc. Nothing has helped.
