Clean UI, very fun and interesting mechanics, no ads
Game has slow pacing issues
What would a modern day Tetris game look like? Would it still be an arcade game? Would it be 2-D? Would it still require you to think and act fast? Well .projekt for Android is a game that reminds me quite a bit of what that game might be in a slightly different light. But while the two games can draw some similarities, they’re still very much their own game.
This is a game that relies a bit more on puzzle-solving than Tetris. Rather than trying to beat a highscore or think quickly without mistaken, this game requires you to grasp a situation and think it through. The idea is that you’ll create geometric shapes on a flat plane that will then look like two completely different shapes when you view them from two different angles, and it’s a pretty cool concept and game mechanic.
You’ll start off by making some pretty rudimentary shapes. Maybe a line here or a square there. Eventually you’ll step into some more complex shapes that will force you to mask some steps from one perspective but make sure they’re present in the other. Finishing a difficult puzzle is a reward all itself. The game offers very little else aside from solving puzzles, but it’s definitely a game that doesn’t need to.
Without ads and other distractions, .projekt is a game that really just lets you play and enjoy it. This also means there are no rewards to really work toward either. You’ll either enjoy the game and keep playing, or you won’t. But if you’re a fan of puzzle games, I have a sneaking suspicion that you’ll love this one.
