Super fun gameplay, excellent design, very limited ads
The controls could be tweaked slightly
Ultraflow 2 for Android is a really awesome arcade game that is totally unique in not just its game mechanics, but its visuals too. It combines a sort of advanced, quasi-air hockey gameplay with rich but minimalistic graphics to bring you an experience you likely won’t forget.
There are over 180 levels in this game, and no, I wasn’t able to make it through all of them. But that doesn’t mean you can’t. The idea is that you’ve got a disc that you want to bank across the level in order to sink it in the hole. In the middle of the disc is a number which indicates how many times you can bank it off a while before it’s destroyed and you have to try again.
Games are always incredibly fast, and better yet, death is fast too. If your disc gets destroyed, or you know you’re not going to make it, you can double tap the screen and immediately start over. Difficulty wasn’t what I would call linear, and this might bother a lot of people. For me, it seemed like every five or so levels would bring me one that just sort of left me stumped for a bit.
If you can beat those original 180 levels then you can also get access to 180 other levels that are super difficult. Unfortunately, you have to purchase these extra levels, but it’s well worth it for anyone who played through the first half of the game.
Ultraflow 2 doesn’t have any fancy rewards or elegant graphics, but it doesn’t need them. Its minimalistic design is perfect for the incredible gameplay and great fun it brings.
